Terms of Service
Last updated October 12, 2026
- Freshflo is free to use during the beta, for personal and work use.
- What you dictate and record is yours. We don't claim any rights to it.
- If you record a meeting, it's your job to make sure everyone is fine with being recorded.
- If you use a cloud engine such as Groq or OpenAI with your own key, their terms and charges apply too.
- It's a beta: it may have bugs, and it comes without warranties.
1. These terms
These terms cover the Freshflo app for Mac (“the app”) and the website freshflo.vercel.app with its download, waitlist, feedback and update services (together, “Freshflo”). By downloading or using Freshflo you agree to them. If you use Freshflo for an organisation, you agree on its behalf. How we handle data is described in the privacy policy, which is part of these terms.
2. Using the app
- You may install and use the app on Macs you own or control, for personal or work use, free of charge during the beta.
- Please don't resell or redistribute the app, remove its notices, or try to break its update checks or its servers.
- The app downloads and installs updates from freshflo.vercel.app. Each update is checked against its checksum and code signature before it's installed.
- Paid plans may be offered later. Anything you can do for free today won't be taken away without notice, and any paid plan will have its own clear terms before you're charged.
3. Your content
Your dictations, history, dictionary, snippets, Scratchpad notes and meeting recordings, transcripts and notes are yours. They're stored on your Mac. We don't claim ownership of them and don't use them for anything. If you send us feedback, we may use your suggestions to improve Freshflo without owing you anything for them.
4. Recording meetings and other people
Meeting notes record your microphone and the audio your Mac plays during a call. You are responsible for telling the other participants and getting their consent where the law requires it, and for following your workplace's policies. Don't use Freshflo to record people secretly or unlawfully.
5. Third-party services
Some features use services that aren't ours: Apple's speech recognition and on-device models, and, if you choose them, cloud engines such as Groq, OpenAI or your own server, using your own API key. Their terms and privacy policies apply to what you send them, and any usage charges are between you and them. AI apps you connect to Freshflo (such as Claude, Cursor or Claude Code) can read your meeting notes, and your dictations if you allow it; their terms apply to that use.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use Freshflo to break the law, to harm or harass anyone, to record people without the consent the law requires, or to attack, overload or misuse the website and its services.
7. The beta, and no warranty
Freshflo is in public beta. Speech recognition and AI cleanup can make mistakes, so check anything important before you send it. Freshflo is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.
8. Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Freshflo and the people who make it aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or lost profits arising from your use of Freshflo. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
9. Changes and ending
We may update these terms as Freshflo changes; the date at the top will change, and significant changes will be mentioned in the changelog. You can stop using Freshflo at any time by quitting it and moving it to the Trash. We may stop offering Freshflo or any feature, and will try to give notice when we do.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. If a part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
11. Contact
Questions about these terms: use the form on the help page, or Send Feedback… in the app.
