Changelog
What's new.
Freshflo updates itself. You'll see these notes once after each update.
Download the latest for MacWindows 0.7.0
Beta- Meeting notes on Windows (beta). Choose Start Meeting Notes in the tray. Freshflo records your mic and the call's sound (Zoom, Meet, Teams, no bot joins), transcribes as the meeting goes, and writes a summary, decisions, who said what and action items. Find them in Settings → Meetings. Tell us how your first call goes.
0.22.0
Latest- Sync with your other devices. Your dictionary, snippets and app styles on Mac, Windows and Android with one code. Everything is encrypted on your device first, so nobody can read it, including us. No account. Also on Windows (0.6.0) and Android (0.3.0).
- Microphones switch smoothly. The Mac's mic now works while AirPods or Bluetooth headphones are connected, and switching mics mid-dictation keeps every word.
- Faithful Hindi and Hinglish. “Hum ise resolve karne ki koshish karenge” becomes “We will try to resolve this.”, never a to-do list. English you speak is kept as you said it.
- Switch the language you write in from the menu bar, or with ⌃⌥L in any app.
- Android 0.3.0 adds a dictionary and snippets that apply to every dictation.
0.21.2
- Hinglish to clean English. Speak Hindi and English mixed together and get natural English, with corrections applied ("Tuesday, nahi nahi, Wednesday" becomes Wednesday).
- Rupees and lists. "Paanch hazaar rupaye" becomes ₹5,000, "pehla, doosra, teesra" becomes a numbered list, and a list's title is kept.
- Fewer mishearings. Parts of a long dictation heard in a language you don't speak are re-checked.
0.21.0
- Your language, your script. Hindi comes out in Devanagari (never Urdu letters), and Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi and Urdu in their own scripts, with sentences ending in । where the language does. Also on Windows (0.4.0) and in Chrome.
0.20.0
- Share with a personal link. Share Freshflo gives you your own link, so we can thank the people who bring friends.
- Pro renews itself. Subscriptions pick up their renewed key automatically.
- Contact Support is in the Help menu, with optional diagnostics.
0.19.0
- Quicker setup. Five steps instead of six, and you can dictate straight away while the sharper offline model downloads in the background.
- Helping us help you. With “Help improve Freshflo” on, Freshflo also shares how setup went: how long until your first dictation and whether you came back. Never your words.
0.18.3
- Music won't be typed, unless you want it. When something is playing through your speakers, Freshflo can mute it while you talk (back the moment you stop) or hear it too, to type a video or voice note. It asks the first time; change it in Settings → General → Microphone. Headphones are never muted.
0.18.1
- Every word, even non-stop. Talking from the moment you press the key could be trimmed away as background noise. Fixed.
- No more “Mic changed”. When macOS briefly resets audio (common with virtual mics like Camo), Freshflo keeps recording from the same mic and only switches if it's really gone.
0.18.0
- Find anything. Press ⌃⌥K for a search box that runs any action, opens any setting or switches theme.
- Settings you can search. ⌘F in Settings, and a simpler view until you turn on advanced options.
- See what changed. In History, each dictation shows what Freshflo removed and fixed, word by word, with your original one click away.
- A calmer menu bar. Problems appear at the top with a one-click fix; everything else is grouped.
- Practice Dictating. Three quick exercises to learn corrections and lists.
- Freshflo Pro licences. Every Pro feature stays free during the beta. See plans.
0.17.0
- Listens for a person, not just sound. Freshflo checks for a human voice (its pitch, and Apple's on-device sound recognition) before transcribing, so typing, a fan, music or a TV never turn into made-up words.
- Knows when you've finished. Hands-free ends by itself when you stop talking, and waits longer if you trail off with “and…” or “so…”. Adjust or turn off in Settings → General.
- A bar that hears you. The indicator moves with your voice and stays calm for keyboard clicks and background noise.
- Steadier results. Long pauses to think are shortened before transcription.
0.16.1
- One-click themes. Click Install on the Themes page and Freshflo adds the theme (it asks first). Make your own there too.
0.16.0
- Your keys, your way. Any key combination can be the talk key (⌃⌥Space, F13…), and it isn't typed into your app.
- Tap modes. Hold or tap, hold only, press to start and stop, or double-tap for hands-free.
- More shortcuts. Hands-free, paste last dictation, meeting notes, Scratchpad, and a different cancel key. Freshflo warns you before you take a standard Mac shortcut. Settings → General.
0.15.1
- Meet Fluid. The new default theme: soft mint, sky, lavender, rose and peach flowing through the bar as you speak. Calm, never flashy. Switch any time in Settings → Appearance.
0.15.0
- Knows which language you spoke. Hindi, Hinglish, Spanish, German and about 100 more are detected and shown in the bar and History. Unclear short clips are re-heard in a language you speak (Settings → Advanced → Languages I speak).
- Translations that really translate. Every converted dictation is checked; if it didn't come out in the language you chose, Freshflo converts it again.
- Make it yours. New Appearance settings: themes, your own colours for dictation, Command and Ask, saved and shareable as a file; light or dark windows; indicator size.
- More talk keys. Left Option, Left Control and Right Shift.
0.14.0
- Whisper on your Mac. The same speech model the cloud engines use now runs on your Mac's Neural Engine: no key, works offline, nothing leaves your Mac. Turn it on in Settings → General (one-time download, about 630 MB).
- Names spelled right. Import names from Contacts and the people in your recent meetings (Settings → Dictionary). They stay on your Mac.
- Monday recap. A short note with last week's words and time saved, and Share Freshflo… in the menu.
- हिन्दी में Freshflo. Choose the app language in Settings → Advanced.
0.13.0
- Simpler Settings. Meeting notes and Claude/Cursor have their own Meetings tab; sync, diagnostics and feedback moved to Advanced, so General is shorter.
- Setup shows the extras. A new step introduces live captions, meeting notes, lists and emails, Claude and Cursor, Scratchpad and Your Week, with switches to turn them on.
- VoiceOver. Freshflo announces when it starts listening, what it typed, and any problem.
0.12.2
- Automatic microphone. Freshflo picks the best mic that's connected (a USB mic, then your Mac's, then a headset), never picks system-audio devices like BlackHole, and follows you as you plug things in or connect AirPods. Settings shows which mic it's using.
- Mic changes mid-sentence are fine. Unplug a mic or connect AirPods while dictating and Freshflo carries on with the next mic without losing what you'd said.
- Call detection. When a Zoom, Teams, Meet, FaceTime or Webex call starts, a small prompt offers to take meeting notes. Nothing records until you click Start.
0.12.1
- Better with AirPods. When AirPods or another Bluetooth headset is connected, Freshflo now uses your Mac's microphone. Headset mics switch to call mode when they open, which could cut off your first words (or the whole dictation) and dull your music. Change it in Settings → General.
- If a microphone goes silent mid-dictation, Freshflo switches to the Mac's microphone instead of showing “microphone is silent”.
0.12.0
- Speaker names in meeting notes. The other people on a call are told apart by their voices, on your Mac, and named when they introduce themselves. Notes get a Who said what section, and action items name the right person. Click any speaker to rename them everywhere.
- Meeting audio you can trust. A live card shows your mic and the call being heard, warns you straight away if the call isn't being captured, and leaves music and video apps out of the recording.
- Clean transcripts and follow-ups. Every meeting gets a grammatically correct transcript next to the original, and one click writes a follow-up email, a Slack summary or an action list.
- Scratchpad. Menu → Scratchpad… is a place to think out loud. Anything you dictate with nowhere to type, or that an app refuses to paste, is kept there too.
- Amounts in words. “Two lakh fifty thousand rupees” now reliably becomes ₹2,50,000 with Indian formats on.
- Meeting transcripts no longer pick up a phantom “Thank you” from silence.
0.11.1
- A calmer, sharper dictation bar. A row of dots rises into the shape of your voice, breathes quietly when you pause, shimmers while Freshflo polishes, and draws a check when your text lands. Same size the whole time.
- Pick your look. Settings → General → Indicator now has Orb, Island (under the notch), Equalizer, Glow line and Compact bar alongside Glass.
0.11.0
- Ask your meetings. In Meeting Notes, ask “What did we decide about pricing?” or “What are my action items?” and get an answer from your notes, with the meetings it came from. If it isn't there, Freshflo says so.
- Freshflo in Claude, Cursor and Claude Code. Connect in Settings → General and they can search your meeting notes (and, if you allow it, what you've dictated). It's read from your Mac only when they need it.
- Email mode. In Mail, Outlook, Gmail and other mail apps: greeting on its own line, short paragraphs, sign-off at the end.
- Code words. “camel case user id” →
userId, “snake case”, “kebab case”, “pascal case”, “constant case”, “package dot json” →package.json, “dot env” →.env. - Whisper mode. Quiet or distant speech is boosted automatically, so you can talk softly.
- 100 languages in the language picker, and 45 to write in.
- Sync and share. Keep your dictionary, snippets and app styles in step across Macs with iCloud Drive, or share them with your team through any shared folder. No account.
- Turn it off in chosen apps, from the menu bar or Settings.
- Your Week. Words spoken, time saved, speaking speed, streak and where you dictate most.
0.10.0
- Stronger grammar. Common spoken and Indian-English slips now come out as correct written English: “I am having two brothers” → “I have two brothers”, “he is having fever since two days” → “he has fever for two days”, “Where you are going?” → “Where are you going?”, “Me and him went” → “He and I went”, “I didn't went” → “I didn't go”, “discuss about”, “today morning”, “should of”, “your welcome”, “faster then”. These fixes also work offline, and Hinglish words stay exactly as you said them.
- No slowdown when you're busy. If Groq's free tier hits its per-minute limit, cleanup moves to another Groq model instead of falling back to a weaker one.
0.9.9
- Smart lists. Say “first my charger, second my passport, third sunscreen” and get a numbered list. Say “bullet point” or “next point” for bullets. Anything else stays as normal sentences. Works with or without AI cleanup, and Markdown apps like Cursor, Notion and Obsidian get
-bullets. Turn it off in Settings → Style. - Live captions. Turn on Live Captions in the menu to see your words while you speak, plus what Freshflo detects: a list or sentences, a question, a self-correction, filler words (struck through, the way they'll be dropped). After you let go it shows exactly what was typed. Captions are recognised on your Mac.
- A quieter bar. The dictation bar is smaller and calmer: just your voice. Words appear in the captions card when you want them.
0.9.8
- Prompt mode. In Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, AI chat tabs and terminals running Claude Code or Codex, your rambling becomes a clear prompt: the goal first, then every requirement as a bullet. Your own per-app styles still win, and you can turn it off in Settings → Style.
- Ten Indian languages. Hindi, Hinglish, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi and Urdu, with proper pickers for the language you speak and the one you write in. Setup now asks which language you speak, which makes recognition noticeably better.
- Send Feedback… in the menu reaches the person who builds Freshflo, with app details attached if you like (never your words).
- Optional: help improve Freshflo. Share anonymous daily counts and crash reports. Off unless you turn it on; see the privacy policy for exactly what's sent.
0.9.7
- Grammar, not just punctuation. “He don't know nothing about it” becomes “He doesn't know anything about it.” Turn it off in Settings → Style if you want your exact words.
- Stutters and repeats removed. “I I think th- the plan is is ready” becomes “I think the plan is ready.”
- Swear words cleaned up by default, in English and Hinglish, with a polite word when removing one would break the sentence. Choose Clean it up, Mask (f***) or Keep as said.
- Misheard words fixed from context (“grab launch after are meeting” → “grab lunch after our meeting”), and names close to ones in your Dictionary are spelled your way, even offline.
0.9.6
- A new setup assistant. A step-by-step sidebar, and a live demo of messy speech turning into clean text before you even start.
- No more hunting in System Settings. Setup shows the exact switch to turn on, then moves on by itself once permissions are granted.
- Always ready. Freshflo can open when you log in (on by default, change it in Settings).
- A cheat sheet of the three keys when you finish: dictate, edit by voice, and ask.
- Light theme everywhere. Setup and the website now use the light look by default; the site has a light/dark switch.
0.9.5
- Works on every Mac. One app for Apple Silicon and Intel, on macOS 14 Sonoma and later.
- No API key needed. Apple's built-in speech engine is the free default. A Groq key is now an optional accuracy upgrade.
- A one-minute setup that shows live permission status, checks your talk key actually works, and warns you if the 🌐 key is set to open emoji or dictation.
- Smarter cleanup without AI models: "Tuesday, no wait, Wednesday", repeated words and filler openers are handled on older Macs too.
- Moves itself to Applications if you open it from the download, so permissions stick.
- Automatic updates, verified against a published checksum and Freshflo's developer signature before installing.
- Your progress in the menu: words today, time saved, this week, your streak, and a daily tip.
0.9.0

- Edit by voice (hold fn + Control) and Ask (hold fn + Shift) with confirmed actions.
- Meeting notes with You / Them labels and no bot.
- Speak Hindi or Hinglish and write English; ₹ with lakh and crore; spoken emails.
- A privacy log on every History entry.
